The Tall Tower Industry has above average specific lighting requirements. The FAA demands by law that all products used to light “Air Traffic Obstructions” use only certified products. There are severe penalties in the event and air craft should hit a tower if non-certified products are used. The liability starts with the tower owner but can be transferred to the installation company. In addition product failures on towers are very expensive to replace it makes economical sense to use only certified and the longest life products available.
